I think this solution is very good - it's cheaper and the only one in the market in middle-east Europe.
I don't think so. Engine in rear part is better cause:
1. no smoke inside bus, 2. it is easier to avoid high level of noise, 3. safer - if engine burns It is easier to evacuate...
Important fact is that the interior is more spacy when the engine is in the rear part. It is also easier to put the baby transport inside.
Belarusian companies probably prefer such solution. So MAZ replied to their demand
I've heard sometime that the engine in MAZ 105/205 is in the first section becouse in winter it's easier to drive. I don't know if it's true.
Yes, it's true. On the snow it is easier to push first part than to pull rear part, especially when you try to turn or climb a hill.
I was waiting for it! And now, I'm waiting for MAZ 205T - as far as I know, we will see it quite soon
