13 Juni 2009 - Valenciennes (FR) – Chemin Vert. One of the new French tramways – every city in France wants to have one! Here in Valenciennes, the single, 28km line runs these silver-grey Alstom trams every few minutes, linking the city centre to the University and other districts. This tram is heading for the University.

13 Juni 2009 - Valenciennes (FR) – Clemenceau. Another view of the neat grass-covered reservation used in many places. I expect the idea for this came from Poland – tracks are also covered in grass there :-) No fences, so people on foot can still cross over anywhere they wish.
