A graphic illustration of the difference in width between old and new trams. The GT-N car on the right is 2.4 metres wide.
3 September 2010 - Würzburg (DE) - Heuchelhof. The latest batch of LHB cars for Würzburg are not quite so ugly as the GT-E model that came before, particularly as this one is in proper WSB colours and not, like most Würzburg trams, in advertising livery.
23 August 2004 - Wurzburg, Germany – Dominiker Platz. Some of us on TWB discussed recently what makes a beautiful tram. Wurzburg surely wins the prize for ugliness - what do you think? In English, we have a saying - ‘beauty is in the eyes of the beholder’ (in other words, if it looks good to you, it is good, and it doesn’t matter what others think). I would have to be very drunk indeed to find these beautiful.
