9 Mai 2007 - Graz (AT) – Tramway Museum. An ex-Third Avenue (New York) tram which came to Wien after WW2. These are very wide trams and could only operate on certain streets in Wien. I guess they have the same problem operating it here, although the museum has a very good relationship with Graz Tramways and runs regular trips from the museum with some of its other trams. Hidden just behind is another wartime acquisition – a 1909 tram from the Rheinbahn in Dusseldorf, Germany.
6 Mai 2007 - Wien/Vienna – Erdberg tramway museum. A 1939 Third Avenue Railway tram, one of a batch sent to Wien in 1949 as part of the Marshall Plan to re-equip war-torn European cities and was classified as the Wien Z Type. Because of their great width and length, these could only be used on certain routes with widely-spaced tracks.
