13 März 2006 - Opole, Działkowa St., MZK Depot. Among general misery back in 2006 getting two 12 year old NG272 seemed like a big deal. On May the 8th 2020 3 out of 10 ordered New Urbinos 12 have arrived and nobody seems to notice. How times change!

12 August 2019 - Bad Ischl, Kreuzplatz. Bad Ischl is best known for two reasons. Emperor Franz Joseph fell in love with Sisi - his future wife and Empress Elisabeth here. The story became widely known in popular culture thanks to Ernst Marischka`s trilogy of films: Sissi, Sissi – The Young Empress and Sissi – Fateful Years of an Empress. The couple had the summer residence here. Part of its park was Jainzenberg, the hill seen in the background of the picture. Empress used to walk there often and Emperor hunted there too. The Villa remains in the hands of Habsburg family but most of the time it`s open for tourists. On 28th of July 1914 in this very Villa Franz Joseph declared war against Serbia. It was the beginning of what was later called World War I, conflict that directly claimed approx. 16 millions lives worldwide...

16 August 2019 - Strobl, Wolfgangsee Straße (B 158). With this picture we‘re staring a little series from Austrian Salzkammergut. Seen in the right upper corner is 1782 meter (or 5846 feet) high Schafberg. One can reach it via a 1 meter gauge Schafbergbahn cog railway. For eagle eyed amongst us the parts of its route are visible too.

31 Juli 2019 - Lubań, Dworcowa St. 1985 Merc O303, 1990 Mazda 323 and in the background VW Passat Variant B3 from late 80s or early 90s. All those vehicles come from an era when manufacturers would pride themselves on longevity and reliability of their products. Sadly nowadays not so anymore.

8 Oktober 2018 - Opole, Kazimierza Wielkiego St. MZK has withdrawn all Jelczes M121I but there are not enough buses left to cover all needs. To the rescue come two old NG312 as well as four NL202.

1 Juli 2018 - Opole, Solidarity Av. President of our town promised only air-conditioned buses during summer months. It didn`t take two days for our MZK to brake that promise. Unless you count aircon for driver only of course :P

22 Juni 2018 - Opole, Friendship Avenue. In January 2006 I was fortunate enough to take picture of this bus (and her siblings 251, 252 too) in the first days of her service in Opole. After dozen and a half years it`s time to say goodbye. 22 June was her last day in service. This marks the end of all Opole`s 2nd generation MAN which had been bought used.

15 Juni 2018 - Opole, Oświęcimska Street. It`s been decades since last regular service at former Groszowice bus terminus. And there will be no more as a new bikeway cut off connection to the street. The bus in the picture has only five more days of active service ahead. Along with rest of Opole`s second generation MAN NGs she will be scrapped soon.

30 Mai 2018 - Opole, ul. Władysława Jagiełły. Miałem nadzieję upolować na terenach dawniej należących do gminy Dobrzeń Wielki jakiegoś nowego A37, a tymczasem takie oto cudo rocznik 1996 wjechało przed obiektyw. Chwilowo ilostan opolskiego MZK imponuje liczbą czynnych wozów - większość nówek już jeździ, starocie przeznaczone do wycofania wciąż jednak pojawiają się na trasach. Pozdrowienia dla entuzjastycznie reagującego na zdjęcia kierowcy!

15 November 2001 - Opole, pętla przy ul. Głogowskiej. Funkielnówka wygrzewa się w listopadowym słoneczku. Pomijając wszystkie zawinione przez fotografa niedostatki tego zdjęcia, to jednak stary, dobry industar 50/3,5 rysował co najmniej przyzwoicie ;)
