19 Mai 2005 - Plauen, Germany – Tunnel. Plauen has a compact and efficient, metre-gauge network of six tramway lines. In 2005, all services were worked by Tatra KT4-D cars, with no sign yet of the low floor disease that was spreading to other German cities. The main tramway junction in central Plauen is at the bottom of a very steep hill, which car 218 has just descended.
I think they're looking to get some Leoliners in the next few years. In any case, I'd suggest they implement the Cottbus solution - refurb them and slap a low-floor section in the middle.
