Oktober 2007 - Opole, zajezdnia PKS. Wóz trafił w 2007 roku do PKS Namysłów i obecnie posiada rejestrację #ONA 6F47, w związku z czym będę wdzięczny za połączenie obu pojazdów.
9 November 2008 - Dniepropietrowsk, pętla o kryptonimie DDTUZT. Zmodernizowany skład 1391+1392 (ex-Schwerin 105+205), jeden z 14 takich zestawów zakupionych w latach 2003-04.
9 November 2008 - Dniepropietrowsk, Prospekt Gagarina.
9 September 2008 - Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Bad Homburg Gonzenheim. As can be seen, away from city streets the Frankfurt U-Bahn is a heavy metro with high platforms and railway-style signalling. Car 340 heads a Line U2 train in the northern fringes of the city - even in villages like this, well away from the city centre, you simply don’t need a car to get around.
9 September 2008 - Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Eckenheimer Landstrasse. A few Ptb cars are still in the old Frankfurt orange and white livery. A U5 train glides past Schwarzburgstrasse on the way to Hauptbahnhof. As you can see, this is quite a busy suburban area, with tram/trains like this running through every four or five minutes. No-one seems to think this is a problem, even though the street is quite narrow.
9 September 2008 - Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Eckenheimer Landstrasse. The Frankfurt U-Bahn has developed into a full grown Metro system of seven routes, running underground through the city centre. Here on Line U5, however, it still pretends to be a normal tram in the street and stops in the middle of the road for passengers, then races down into the central subways. These older Ptb (“premetro”) Type cars are of narrow profile and have steps that extend outwards and down to ground level.
9 September 2008 - Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Willy-Brandt-Platz. Bombardier Type S tram 213 outside the European Central Bank, where they invented the Euro (do we thank or blame them for this?). This is my 500th TWB/Phototrans photo and I’m extremely grateful for all your help and support, which is much appreciated, particularly as I rely very much on your English language skills. I hope you find some of my subjects interesting.
9 September 2008 - Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Ignatz-Bubis-Brucke. A Line 14 tram crosses the River Main towards its southern shore. Line most Frankfurt lines, the trams are separated from road traffic.
9 September 2008 - Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Zoo. A very spotty Line 11 tram at the terminal loop outside Frankfurt zoo. Frankfurt has an amazing public transport system, with U-Bahn (metro) and S-Bahn (suburban heavy rail) lines beneath the city and buses and trams on the surface, all fully integrated and very reliable, with high quality vehicles. A good example of what can be achieved with lots of money!
